Motorcycle crash leaves one person dead in Normal

NORMAL – A motorcyclist lost control and crashed into a guard rail in Normal on Monday, ending their life.

A Normal police news release states that officers arrived on the scene around 5:40 p.m. near Vernon Avenue and Brookwood Drive and could see the driver in “obvious trauma.”

The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of their family.

McLean County Coroner’s Office and McLean County Accident Reconstruction Team are assisting the Normal Police Department with the investigation.
