CHICAGO – Gov. JB Pritzker is thanking state tourism leaders for their perseverance during the pandemic.
Speaking at a tourism and travel conference in Chicago, the governor noted that the last 20 months have been very tough for the hospitality industry.
“This has been an unprecedented health emergency, and yet you’ve stepped up to keep your businesses going, keep your families going, and keep your communities going,” said the governor.
Pritzker says recovery continues as travel and traditions return this year. He noted the state launched its first new tourism campaign “Time for Me to Drive” in five years.
The governor says the state’s tourism website – EnjoyIllinois.com – has several ideas for trips and attractions.
