BLOOMINGTON – A local travel agent believes there could be a big boom for the hospitality and travel industries over the next few months.
Tim Davis with Direct Travel in Bloomington says travel numbers started to improve at the end of last month.
“We are already seeing numbers starting to rebook at the last half of February and now into early March the numbers are outstanding,” Davis told WJBC’s Scott Miller. “Some vendors are actually ahead of where we were at this same time last year, and that was before the pandemic really hit travel hard.”
Davis says travel numbers should improve with the vaccine rollout ongoing and many people are just ready to get out of the house.
According to the CDC, about 79 million vaccine doses have been administered in the U.S.
