BLOOMINGTON – The big game is on Sunday and health officials are reminding people that COVID-19 is still a concern.
McLean County Health Department Administrator Jessica McKnight spoke with WJBC’s Scott Miller.
“The virus is still spreading and we’ve had the UK variant detected in Illinois,” said McKnight. “We just want to remind people that this is still a concern, gathering small or large. If you are gathering with people outside of your household there is a risk associated with that.”
Gathering virtually or with the people you live with is the safest way to celebrate the #SuperBowl this year. If you watch with people who don’t live with you, outdoors is safer than indoors. More on safer ways to enjoy the game: https://t.co/FC2Js5OWvV. pic.twitter.com/YSSheTVmwR

The CDC is encouraging virtual gatherings, but if you decide to watch with others, remember to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
