SPRINGFIELD – It’s all about timing – including the arrival of that precious coronavirus vaccine.
But what about the space between the first dose and the second?
“It’s my understanding that, actually, they’re not shipping the first shipment until they know they have the second shipment available,” said Gov. JB Pritzker at Wednesday’s daily coronavirus briefing. “In other words, no one will get a first dose without there being a second one that is already available and not yet shipped.
“We may have to cut the shipments in half so that we would know there is a 2d dose coming,”
Illinois announced more than 8,200 cases and 179 more deaths.
