SPRINGFIELD – If it’s Gov. JB Pritzker, and if it’s his daily coronavirus briefing, it must be time for him to take a shot at the Trump administration.
“When you compare our federal shipments (of supplies and equipment) to our burn rate, the product that we have received from the federal stockpile will last only a handful of days in this multi-month battle,” said the governor.,
“It’s our own state procurement initiative that is making the difference.”
For his part, President Trump Sunday called Pritzker a complainer who is not doing a good job as governor.
Illinois now has 12,262 coronavirus cases and 307 deaths.
Whether the weather is nice, whether it’s Passover, Good Friday, or Easter Sunday, the governor says to stay home.
Dr. Ngozi Ezike, director of the Illinois Department of Public Health, says coronavirus counts by ZIP code are available online. Ezike says while we should assume coronavirus is everywhere, only ZIP codes with six or more cases wlil be on the site.
