NORMAL – Police have arrested two local men for gun possession and vehicle burglaries in Normal.
Kajuan Hopson, 21, of Normal, and Koebe Harris, 21, of Bloomington, were taken into custody Wednesday. Both face several charges, including possession of a gun without a FOID card and resisting an officer.
Hopson is being held at the McLean County jail on a $20,000 cash bond. Harris is also being held at the jail and he needs to post $7,500 to be released.
Authorities were called to the Savannah Green subdivision in northeast Normal at 7:13 a.m. for a report of two suspects burglarizing vehicles. Police said when they arrived they located the two suspects, and after a brief foot chase, both were taken into custody.
Officers were able to locate victims of vehicle burglaries in the area. Police said several stolen items were recovered from one suspect.
