Fairbury – Linda L. Jones, 71, of Fairbury, passed away at 10:35am, April 6, 2019 at her residence.
Her funeral will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Lexington Community Church. Pastor Kendall Coffman will be officiating.
Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4-8:00pm, Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 10-10:45am on Thursday, at the church.
Memorials may be made to Lexington Community Church or St. Jude Hospital.
Linda was born November 3, 1947, in Bloomington, the daughter of Clyde E. and H. Irene Hospelhorn Compton. She married Kenneth L. Jones on July 21, 1963 in Hudson. He passed away on May 1, 1999.
Surviving are her daughter, Pamela S. (Donald) Price of Fairbury; son, Douglas S. (Tera) Jones of Fisher; 6 grandchildren, Jacob (Jessica Muir) Price, Chris (Angel Leenders) Price, Taylor Jones, Tim Winholtz, Chelsey (Vaughn) Keomala, Conner Rutledge; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Price, Kaeden Muir, Jacson Muir, and Eli Keomala; sisters, Shirley Olson of Normal, Sarah (James) Fox of LeRoy, and Paulette (Basil) Rauch of Fairbury; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Compton, Judi Compton, Margaret Compton, and Nancy (Ron) Klein; brothers-in-law, Roger (Paula) Jones and David Jones; and special friends, LaVonne Roberts and Lou Honegger.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Brian Winholtz, four brothers, and one sister.
She was a member of Lexington Community Church and its Heart Lifters group.
Linda was a loving and devoted mom and grandma. Her loving heart will be dearly missed by her family.
