BLOOMINGTON – Kids at Unit 5’s Fox Creek Elementary School on Bloomington’s southwest side are getting an unexpected day off Tuesday because of a power outage at the school.
The building on Timberwolf Trail has been without electricity since noon Monday, and power won’t be restored until late Tuesday afternoon at the earliest.
In a statement posted on social media, the district said building conditions would not allow for a normal learning environment.
Unit 5 said it’s a regular school day for all the other schools in the district.
