BLOOMINGTON – A judge has refused to lower bond today for a piano teacher accused of molesting a teenage girl.
McLean County Associate Judge David Butler ordered 36-year old Aaron Parlier to remain jailed on $1 million bond on ten sexual assault charges for alleged crimes that happened between 2009 and 2013.
Parlier’s lawyer said he will ask for a bond reduction hearing, claiming Parlier is not a flight risk. Parlier reportedly surrendered Tuesday when he learned there was a warrant for his arrest.
Police say Parlier taught piano to children for many years in Bloomington-Normal. Investigators are asking Parlier’s students to contact police.
In court, no information was provided about other alleged victims.
