BLOOMINGTON – The former head of the LeRoy Replex has admitted to stealing close to 80-thousand dollars from the facility.
Joe Rodts, 39, of Normal pleaded guilty to theft charges in McLean County court and could get anywhere from probation to three to seven years in prison when he is sentenced in April.
Rodts was fired in 2016 after an audit showed major discrepancies in the Replex’s books. He later admitted to taking the money to fuel an online gambling addiction.
Rodts has agreed to pay restitution to the park district facility.
