BLOOMINGTON – A local restaurant chain will be offering some free food to first responders during the week of September 11.
To celebrate the National Day of Service and Remembrance, local McDonald’s restaurants will be offering free, six piece Chicken McNuggets to police officers, fire fighters, and first responders from September 11-15. Local McDonald’s owner and operator Terry Clark says once first responders show their state-issued identification card, they get the free McNuggets.
“We want to celebrate these guys and gals that are out there, putting themselves at risk for us,” Clark explained. “Stop in at any of our local McDonald’s in the Peoria-Bloomington market and we’ll give you a free six piece McNuggets when you show us your first responder’s ID.”
The offer is extended to all Peoria and Bloomington area first responders.
