NORMAL – There are plenty of opinions being expressed as Donald Trump was named President-elect Tuesday night.
That’s the case on the campus of Illinois State University where students gathered Wednesday for a Black Lives Matter Rally. Professor Larry Johnson says students want their voices heard.
“More individuals will be mobilized throughout this country,” said Johnson. “Just look at the number of people who voted this term. Over the next four years I think we need to watch on college campuses, and other cities, and rural areas across the country where people are going to be very engaged in electing officials and the direction of this country.”
Hundreds of students chanted with signs to be sure their voices are heard.
