BLOOMINGTON – The terminal building at Central Illinois Regional Airport has re-opened after a bag that raised security questions was cleared.
CIRA’s Fran Strebing says a special team from the Secretary of State’s office in Springfield cleared the item. The airport terminal building was evacuated at about 10:40 this morning as employees and passengers were moved to the short-term parking area near the main entrance. The terminal was re-opened at about 1:00.
One departing flight was delayed but the rest of the schedule is on time.
