NORMAL – Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump were very much within character in their first debate according to a politics and government professor at Illinois State University.
“What that’s really going to do is reinforce people’s attitudes about it,” said Crothers. “If you don’t like Donald Trump you’re gonna look at that and think it’s horrible. If you don’t like Hillary Clinton you’re going to look at her and say ‘wow she’s just another one of those politicians and I don’t like her.’ I think it’s more likely to have reinforced people’s pre-existing attitudes then it is to have changed anyone.”
ISU’s Lane Crothers told WJBC’s Terry James Trump ‘s more emotional answers and Clinton’s tendency to answer the question she wanted to answer shouldn’t come as a surprise.
