BLOOMINGTON – MetroNet has announced pricing for what it’s touting as faster internet service in Bloomington-Normal.
The Indiana-based telecommunications provider is offering $50 per month for 100-megabit-per-second downloads and 1-gigabit-per-second downloads will run $90 a month. The company has not yet announced TV and phone pricing.
MetroNet will have a retail store at 503 N. Prospect, Suite 205, Bloomington.
A test launch is planned for later this fall. The service initially won’t be available in much of Bloomington’s west side, which has upset city officials, but company officials say they hope to expand into that area.
