MCLEAN COUNTY, Ill. (WMBD) — A third person has died as a result of a deadly two-vehicle crash in McLean County on Sunday, the McLean County Coroner’s office.
Kenneth Kun Su Chiang, 86, from Millbrae, Calif., died at 1:49 p.m. on May 19 at the hospital, said Coroner Kathleen Yoder. He died from multiple blunt injuries, according to a preliminary autopsy.
Just before 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 17, the coroner’s office received a notification of two deaths in a crash at the intersection of Illinois Route 9 and 2600 East Road in Cooksville which is due west of Bloomington. The crash involved an SUV and a minivan.
Beth L. Brucker, 58, of Ellsworth and Hui-Lan Chen Chiang, 82, also of Millbrae, Calif., were pronounced dead at the scene. Yoder said both died from multiple blunt injuries.
This incident and the cause of the crash remain under investigation by the coroner’s office and the Illinois State Police.
