McLean County Prosecutors charge man from Normal with Home Invasion and Sexual Assault

NORMAL – McLean County Prosecutors charged a man from Normal after a home invasion and alleged sexual assault.

Authorities say Lamar James, 26, allegedly entered a home through an unlocked door around 7:15 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of W. Willow St.

Normal Police say James allegedly threatened one victim and sexually assaulted another victim before leaving on foot.

Authorities arrested James Monday afternoon on two Class X felonies.

James faces one count of aggravated criminal sexual assault and one count of home invasion.

If he’s found guilty, James could spend decades behind bars.
