Pekin woman dead after being hit by a forklift inside the Goodfield Case IH plant

WOODFORD COUNTY – A Pekin woman died in an accident at the Case IH factory in Goodfield.

Authorities responded to the plant in the 600 block of E. Peoria St. in Goodfield Tuesday afternoon around 10:30 a.m.

When authorities arrived, they found Lisa Hofmann, 40, of Pekin, dead after a forklift hit her.

Preliminary autopsy reports indicate Hofmaan died from multiple blunt force trauma caused by the forklift.

The Woodford County Coroner’s Office, Woodford County Sheriff’s Department, and OSHA are investigating the accident.
