Prices down at the pump over the past week

BLOOMINGTON – Over the past week, prices at the pump are down $0.06, averaging $3.90 today.

GasBuddy states prices are $0.03 per gallon lower than a month ago and $0.16 per gallon lower than a year ago.

On the diesel front, prices at the pump are down $0.04 in the past week to$4.00 per gallon.

The cheapest station in the state is $2.79, while the most expensive station in Chicago is $8.77 cents per gallon.

In the past week, the national gasoline average is up $0.04 per gallon to $3.64 per gallon.

“I’m hopeful with reduced concern in the Middle East and an end to the seasonal factors pushing prices up that Americans will soon see relief,” Patrick De Haan, petroleum analyst with GasBuddy said in a news release.

GasBuddy reports the national average is up $0.10 per gallon from a month ago and $0.01 per gallon lower than a year ago.
