Bloomington police seek public’s help in solving 2-year-old homicide

BLOOMINGTON – It’s been two years since Dylan Meserole died after being shot and police here are asking the public for help in solving the case.

The 20-year-old Normal man was pronounced dead at 2:40 a.m., about 40 minutes after he was found in the 1600 block of West Olive Street after he was shot. Police had been called there just before 2 a.m. on a report of a group of people fighting.

According to a Bloomington Police Department Facebook post, “the provision of critical information on this case will help bring closure to his family, as well as additional victims of local violent crime. We are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Weston Gresham at (309) 434-2570 or at [email protected].”
