BLOOMINGTON – After a more than 30-year career, Bloomington Fire’s top leader is retiring in December.
Bloomington Fire Chief Eric West was named to the city’s top fire post in 2021 after the retirement of Brian Mohr.
Chief West helped the department achieve numerous milestones and advancements during his tenure.
While with the department, Chief West served on several committees, including serving as the Vice President of the Local 49 Chapter for several years.
Bloomington City Manager Tim Gleason will be making decisions on the future of the city’s top fire post in the future.
