Former Pekin piano teacher found guilty of child porn and sexual assault

BLOOMINGTON – A central Illinois man accused of sexually assaulting his piano students has been found guilty on all 20 counts.

The verdict was handed down on Friday morning by Judge Casey Costigan, who convicted Aaron Parlier, 40, of Pekin, of 10 counts of child pornography and 10 counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a minor.

The trial was the first of many for Parlier, who is facing 38 counts against him. Friday mornings convictions are for counts 19-38 against him.

Judge Casey Costigan wrapped up the bench trial on Tuesday, in which Parlier declined to testify.

Parlier will be sentenced on January 14, 2022.
