BLOOMINGTON – Central Catholic High School has a new head volleyball coach.

Jenny Menendez is a 2009 graduate of Normal Community High School who went on to play volleyball at Illinois State University. As a Redbird, she was named 2012 Missouri Valley Conference Libero of the Year and, also in 2012, earned first-team all-conference honors. She comes to Central Catholic after serving as the assistant varsity volleyball coach at NCHS under head coach Christine Konopasek.

“I am very excited for the opportunity to continue to further the Central Catholic Volleyball program’s rich tradition of academic and athletic excellence,” said Menendez in a news release. “I look forward to working with a talented group of athletes. I am extremely humbled and honored to work with the staff at Central Catholic, and look forward to seeing everyone this fall.”
