MCHD reports 119 new cases of coronavirus; Hospitalizations remain high

BLOOMINGTON – McLean County added 119 new cases of coronavirus Friday as the number of people hospitalized continues to inch up.

There are 45 McLean County residents in the hospital due to COVID, which is the most since the start of the pandemic. There are 545 residents in home isolation, according to the health department.

McLean County hospitals are reporting 88% of ICU beds and 98% of total beds in use. The number of people hospitalized for COVID at McLean County hospitals is 43. The health department reminds people that local hospitals provide other treatment and care for people outside the county.

MCHD has reported 460 new cases of COVID over the last week.

McLean County’s rolling positivity rate inched up to 5.5%. 119 additional people were released from isolation, now 15,360 are considered recovered.
