BLOOMINGTON – A 19-year-old woman had “serious injuries,” according to the sheriff, after a train vs. car crash east of Bloomington Thursday.
The railroad crossing is about two-and-a-half miles away from Towanda Barnes Road, near Cornerstone Christian Academy.
McLean County Sheriff Jon Sandage says the collision happened around 3:30 PM Thursday on County Road 2150 East.
The young woman driver was the only one hurt.
She was taken to Carle BroMenn Medical Center with serious injuries, but her condition was unknown Friday.
The sheriff says the railroad crossing did not have stop arms or lights.
