COVID-19 Vaccine Update

This week McLean County moved into Phase 1b of the COVID-19 vaccination rollout.

Eventually, everyone who wants a vaccine will be able to get one, according to MCHD Administrator Jessica McKnight. Fulfillment of the state’s plan will take time and patience. Phase 1a and Phase 1b include an estimated 50,000 individuals in McLean County. Appointments are required for vaccine clinics at this time, and can be made through the Health Department’s website https://health.mcleancountyil.gov. Due to high demand, all appointments for the first posted clinics have been filled. The public is encouraged to continue checking the calendar as additional clinics will be added.

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
