BPD: 2 arrested for gun possession and illegal drugs

BLOOMINGTON – Police arrested two Bloomington residents on Friday as a result of an ongoing Street Crimes Unit investigation.

Ransom Fellers, 22, was taken into custody in the Clobertin Court area and faces charges for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and illegal drug sales, according to Bloomington Police. As a result of the investigation, a loaded pistol was seized and a variety of controlled substances were also seized. Also taken into custody, without incident, was Brandy L. Collins, 21.

Fellers was charged with:
CNT 1 – UNLAWFUL USE OF WEAPONS / FELON POSSESS / USE WEAPON / FIREARM
CNT 2 – UNLAWFUL USE OF WEAPONS / FELON POSSESS / USE WEAPON / FIREARM
CNT 3 – FIREARM/FOID INVALID/NOT ELIG
CNT 4 – POSSESSION OF METH< 5 GRAMS
CNT 5 – POSSESS AMOUNT (UP TO 15 GRAMS) CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE EXCEPT(A) / (D)
CNT 6 – POSSESS AMOUNT (UP TO 15 GRAMS) CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE EXCEPT(A) / (D)
Bond requested – $100,000 – 10% to apply.

Collins was charged with:
CNT 1 – POSSESS AMOUNT (UP TO 15 GRAMS) CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE EXCEPT(A) / (D)
Bond requested – $10,000 – Personal Recognizance
