SPRINGFIELD – Strap in for Tier Three until further notice.

Gov. JB Pritzker said Monday he does not foresee rolling back the current mitigations anytime soon, especially after speaking with infectious disease expert Dr Anthony Fauci earlier in the day.

“He said the massive # of indoor gatherings by people visiting family and friends across the nation will likely bring a post-Thanksgiving surge, and he believes this is no time to pull back on mitigations,” said Pritzker.

And while Illinois remains in Tier Three, Pritzker also hopes he does not issue a stay-at-home order, though he has said he wants everyone to … pretty much … stay home.

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

Looking around our community, when we say employer, most will respond to State Farm, Country, or Illinois State University.   We too often forget those who are building our roads, serving our food, or our public employees. COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
