LINCOLN – The National Weather Service is again warning that there is a high fire danger Saturday across central Illinois.
Expect dry air and strong south winds, gusting as high as 50 mph, according to the NWS. The greatest threat is from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
People should avoid outdoor burning and don’t casually discard cigarette butts and matches. People working on the harvest should be vigilant for field fires.
