McLean County adds 24 new COVID cases; 2 more in the hospital

BLOOMINGTON – McLean County health officials Wednesday reported 24 new cases of coronavirus, brining the county total to 3,199.

There are 242 active cases, two additional people are in the hospital, up from 10 Tuesday. Two of those hospitalized are in intensive care and 230 people are isolating at home.

19 additional people have recovered from the virus and there have been 20 COVID-related deaths. The county’s rolling positivity rate inched down to 3.8%.

Meanwhile, Illinois State University on Tuesday reported three additional cases, as there 32 active cases at ISU. Illinois Wesleyan University announced two additional cases as there are 36 cases currently active, according to the school’s COVID dashboard.
