NORMAL– Illinois State Police and the McLean County Coroner’s office are investigating an overnight motorcycle fatality.
The accident occurred on southbound Rivian Parkway/Route 150 just south of College Avenue just before midnight Tuesday.
McLean County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police and the Normal Fire Department were on scene.
In a statement, McLean County coroner Kathy Yoder said a 23-year-old male was the sole occupant of the motorcycle and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy is scheduled for today(Wednesday).
The name of the man is being withheld pending notification of family and the incident remains under investigation by the
McLean County Coroner’s Office and the Illinois State Police.
