Tornadoes confirmed in McLean County

LINCOLN – The National Weather Service confirmed two tornadoes Wednesday afternoon in Gridley and Chenoa.

These were both reported by trained weather spotters, according to our news partner HOI ABC Chief Meteorologist Brian Walder. 

Two additional tornadoes were spotted in Tazewell County. The first was at 1:37 p.m.two miles northwest of Green Valley. The second was a brief touchdown eight minutes later near South Pekin.

A tornado watch remains in effect for most of the area through 9 p.m.
