Bloomington man facing life threatening injuries after shooting on city’s east side

BLOOMINGTON – A 37-year old man was shot Wednesday morning after an argument on Bloomington’s east side.

BPD was called around 1:30 a.m. to the 800 block of E. Washington St. for reports of a person who was shot. BPD said when officers arrived; officers located a male victim with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.

The victim was then transported to St. Joseph Medical Center by Bloomington Fire and Rescue with life-threatening injuries.

According to BPD, the victim was then transferred to OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

No other injuries were reported. There is no suspect information at this time, and no arrests have been made.

Police say this is an isolated incident and is not related to the looting type crimes over the past several days.
