BPD: Bloomington man shot on city’s south side

BLOOMINGTON – A 25-year-old man was shot Sunday morning after a fight broke out on Bloomington’s south side.

Bloomington Police were called around 5:40 a.m. to a shots fired incident in the 1900 block of Tracy Drive. BPD says when officers arrived they learned there was a fight in one of the buildings and shots were fired.

Police found a man with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid and the victim was later transported by Bloomington Fire and Rescue to St Joseph’s Medical Center. At the time of the incident, the victim appeared to have non-life threatening injuries, according to BPD.

Bloomington’s Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Unit were called to investigate and process the crime scene.
