Richards to lead McLean County Democrats; Beard re-elected to GOP chair

BLOOMINGTON – A busy night in the virtual political ring as McLean County Democrats, Republican precinct committee people and the McLean County Libertarian party elect leaders.

On Facebook, Nikita Richards announced that she is the new chair of the Democrats after gaining 64% of the vote over her opponent.

Twin-Cities realtor Connie Beard was re-elected by GOP committee people to a second term.

Kevin Woodard was the only candidate seeking to lead the McLean County Libertarian Party. Woodard is also running against two other candidates in the November election to become McLean County Auditor.
