McLean County COVID-19 cases surges to 31

BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County Health Department said Thursday 11 new people have tested positive for COVID-19, moving the county total to 31.

McLean County Health Department Administrator Jessica McKnight said of the 31 cases; six individuals have fully recovered, meaning they are no longer infectious.

“As of yesterday, April 1, we had 20 cases, so our new case number is 31. We have six that are recovered, five at home in isolation, and one in the ICU.”

McKnight added that the McLean County Fairgrounds is averaging around 100 COVID-19 tests per day.

“We are seeing test results come back from the Fairground testing center, so that is coming into us, so we are getting results.”

At his daily press briefing, Gov. Pritzker announced 715 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the state total to 7, 695 with 157 dead.
