Police arrest four people for child sex trafficking crimes

BLOOMINGTON – After a long-term investigation, four people were arrested and charged with alleged child sex trafficking crimes.

According to a news release, an investigation began in June of 2019. With the assistance provided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the United States Attorney’s Office, charges were issued in early Feb.

Officers arrested Teon Williams, 20, of the 800 block of E. Washington Street in Bloomington for allegedly child sex trafficking from 2017 through 2019. Additionally, Jahquan Howard, 26, of the 1700 block of Linda Lane in Normal, was charged with alleged child sex trafficking and the production of child pornography from 2018 through 2019.

Police also arrested Andrew Wheeler, 24, of the 500 block of Bradley Lane in Normal for child sex trafficking and child sex trafficking conspiracy for offenses alleged to have occurred in 2019. An unnamed juvenile female, 17, was also charged by the McLean County State’s Attorney’s Office.
