ISU has won the prestigious silver award designation from VIQTORY. The silver classification for Military Friendly Schools requires that a school score within 20 percent of the top 10 ranking schools within the same category. Only a select few institutions receive this standing.

ISU offers student veterans several educational and social resources including academic advising, the Veterans and Military Services office, financial support services, and student involvement opportunities.
