BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington Edge indoor football team has entered into a partnership with the Bloomington Knockers youth football team.
As part of the agreement, the Edge will hold free camps for youth football players, provide coaching assistance to youth football coaches, and make players available for appearances.
The Bloomington Knockers, which formed in 1957, offer tackle football, flag football, and cheerleading for kids ages five to middle school.
Bloomington Edge standout and Illinois State graduate Darrelynn Dunn is one of many distinguished Knockers alumni.
“Partnering with the Edge is a phenomenal opportunity for our kids because it gives them access to guys who have been where they are now,” said Brian Segobiano, Board President for Bloomington Knockers Youth Football and Cheer. “Sports play a huge role in the development of children.”
Anyone interested in being a part of the Bloomington Knockers should visit www.bloomingtonknockers.org. The Knockers first game of the season is Aug. 26 at 11a.m. at Ewing II field.
The 2018 schedule for the Bloomington Edge will be announced in September.
