Elmer Dale Studebaker
Elmer Dale Studebaker, 84, of Fairbury, passed surrounded by his family at 9:20am, June 5, 2017 at his residence.
Cremation will be accorded. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, June 8, 2017, at South Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Friends may greet the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.
Memorials may be made to OSF St. Joseph Hospice.
Dale was born November 4, 1932, in Ponitac, the son of Elmer and Blanche Rippey Studebaker. He married Ida Russell on October 9, 1954 in Pontiac. She survives.
Also surviving are his children Terri (Mike) Arduini , Pontiac; Dale Alan (Joni), Fairbury; and Ronnie (Susie), Pontiac; grandchildren, Jessica (Joe) Whiteman, Erin (Kohl) Hambleton, Brooke (Isaiah) Stork, Tyler (Hannah) Studebaker, Matthew (Cassie Sharrard) Studebaker, and Amy (Eric Bibbs) Studebaker; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Deloris (Ernie) Theesfield of Flanagan. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Dale was a truck driver for Pittsburg Tube for over 30 yrs. Dale and Ida enjoyed wintering in Mesa, Ariz. and traveling to see the Cubs.
He dearly loved his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. They will all miss him deeply.
