BLOOMINGTON – A convicted Bloomington man who cut off his ankle monitoring device has been sentenced in McLean County court to eight years in prison.
David Hermosillo, 50, had been described as a sexually violence fugitive at the time he was captured in Michigan in March after being on the run from police for several weeks.
Bloomington Police had issued a warrant for Hermosillo’s arrest after he cut off his GPS ankle monitor which he was required to wear as part of a conditional release. He had been living on West MacArthur Street in Bloomington.
