BLOOMINGTON – A traffic stop on Interstate 55 ended with Bloomington police arresting a man for possession of methamphetamine and an illegal gun.
Julio Gomez of Missouri was arrested for drug possession/possible sales, including methamphetamine trafficking and weapons charges. The methamphetamine has an estimated street value of $2,800. The hand gun had a defaced serial number and Gomez was also carrying a digital scale – all of which were seized as evidence.
Gomez is currently being held at the McLean County Jail.
