WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Congressman Rodney Davis, R-Taylorville, has pulled his support of his party’s nominee for president, Donald Trump, after Trump’s vulgar comments about women in a recently released recording.
Davis told the Decatur Herald and Review Trump’s comments were “abhorrent” and said he’d like for Trump to drop out of the presidential race so that running mate Mike Pence can move to the top of the ticket.
Davis has also asked to be removed from Trump’s agriculture advisory committee.
