Military museum hosts World War II encampment

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois State Military Museum will host a World War II encampment on Saturday to discuss how service members lived and fought the war in the Pacific and European theaters.

Living historians will display uniforms and equipment of soldiers, sailors and Marines who served during World War II.

The event is at 10 a.m. at the Illinois State Military Museum, 1301 N. MacArthur Blvd., Springfield. Admission and parking are free. For additional information, contact the Illinois State Military Museum at 217-761-3910.
