NORMAL- Police are investigating the death a man after he was hit by a train early Saturday morning.
McLean County Coroner Kathleen Davis says that her office was informed of a male pedestrian being struck by a train shortly after midnight Saturday. The incident occurred near the intersection of Miller and Pancake Streets in Bloomington.
The name of the man is not being released till family has been notified. The Bloomington Police Department, Union Pacific Railroad, and the McLean County Coroner’s office continue to investigate.
