Carolyn I. Park, 88 of Normal passed away on July 4 at 9:38 a.m. at Heritage Health, Normal.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington with Pastor Billy Newell officiating. Visitation for Carolyn will be held on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington and also one hour prior to the service at church on Friday.
Interment will be at Funks Grove Cemetery in McLean, Ill. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Carolyn was born on July 20, 1926 in Normal, IL a daughter of Louis and Lena Schultz Reddel. She married Charles R. Park on Nov. 30, 1947 in Bloomington. He preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 1986.
Carolyn is survived by a daughter, Linda Park of Mountain View, Calif.; a son, Richard (Fiancee Kathy Ekstrom) Park of Stanford; six grandchildren, Rachel, Hannah, Breana, Rob, Josh, and Ashley; one great-grandchild, Aiden; daughter-in-law, Michele Park of Towanda; and one sister, Ruth (Jack) Gooding of Normal.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Park; two brothers and three sisters.
Carolyn was employed at State Farm Insurance for many years, retiring in 1990.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington.
Carolyn was an avid gardener and loved flowers which extended into her doing flower arranging. She also loved playing card games and reading to her grandchildren. Carolyn was an excellent cook and had a passion for cooking for others.
She was truly a very caring person and went out of her way to help others.

Judith Ann “Judy” Quinn, 79, of Bloomington, died at 1 p.m. on July 4 in Bloomington.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, where visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday. Interment will follow services at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation. She was born May 21, 1936 in Bloomington, daughter of Lee F. and Alta L. Million Lishka. She married Donald E. Quinn, Sr. on June 17, 1955, he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are one sister, Doris Shadoan of Bloomington; her children, Kathy Anderson and Donna Quinn, both of Bloomington, Donald Jr (Debbie) Quinn and Janis (David) Quinn-Calhoon, both of Normal. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Judy was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed fishing, bowling and listening to music.
