SPRINGFIELD – The proposed Director of the Illinois Emergency Management Agency will also serve as the state’s Homeland Security Adviser.
Over the weekend, Gov. Bruce Rauner tapped James Joseph to be the Director of the Illinois Emergency Management Agency, replacing his predecessor’s pick of Jonathon Monken.
The 33-year-old Joseph worked in Security & Fraud Risk with HSBC and was also a security consultant until working for and later running the DuPage County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
The state Senate confirms agency directors.
