BLOOMINGTON – The IAA Foundation is offering a wide variety of scholarship opportunities for the 2015-16 school year.
Seventy-four scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $7,500 per year will be awarded in total of nearly $180,000.
“Now is the time for students to go online and find that application and apply,” said Susan Moore, director of the IAA Foundation, which is the charitable arm of the Illinois Farm Bureau.
Moore said the top scholarships will go to students attending an Illinois college or university.
“The Illinois Farm Bureau Board of Directors firmly believes that we have great academic institutions here in our state and we want to make sure that some of our best quality students from Illinois stay here, not only to go to school, but hopefully to go to work for agriculture, as well,” said Moore.
Many of the scholarships have very specific requirements based on a student’s academic major, home county, or year in school.
A full listing of available scholarships, eligibility guidelines, and application documents are available at iaafoundation.org. Completed applications must be postmarked on or before Feb. 1, 2015.
