Children avoid possible abduction

BLOOMINGTON – What started as a possible abduction had a happy ending Sunday night.

Bloomington Police say it happened around 10 Sunday night downtown. Three juveniles, two males and one female claimed two carloads of men pulled alongside the group of kids and words were exchanged. The police report says the men got out of the car at one point and chased the juveniles.

The two boys went to the Lucca Grill and called police saying they had lost track of the young girl.

The good news – the girl's father called police and said she had made it away from the men and was at a friend's house.
